One of the first parts of the Irish Oral Exam is the Introduction (Fáiltiú). In this section, you will be asked simple questions about personal information. Not only is it important to prepare well, but this is also a great opportunity to start with confidence.
Cad a bheidh sa Fáiltiú? – What’s in the Introduction?
Sa scrúdú béil, caithfidh tú na rudaí seo a leanas a fhreagairt:
Ainm – Cad is ainm duit? (What is your name?)
Aois – Cén aois thú? (How old are you?)
Dáta breithe – Cad é do dháta breithe? (What is your date of birth?)
Seoladh baile – Cá bhfuil tú i do chónaí? (Where do you live?)
Scrúduimhir – Cén scrúduimhir atá agat? (What is your exam number?)
In the oral exam, you must answer the following:
Name – What is your name?
Age – How old are you?
Date of birth – What is your date of birth?
Home address – Where do you live?

Bíodh do fhreagraí simplí agus soiléir. (Keep your answers simple and clear.)
Cuir béim cheart ar na focail. (Pronounce words correctly.)
Ná bí ró-neirbhíseach – is an chuid is fusa é! (Don’t be too nervous – this is the easiest part!)
